We had a cozy, fun day in our pajamas! We even got to watch Frosty the Snowman with the other kindergarten classes. Some other highlights this week included Computer (drawing with a program called Tux Paint), Young Scholars (Mrs. Fleck works with our class on thinking skills, such as deductive reasoning), Workplaces, Managed Independent Learning, a growing snowman pattern, and lots of reading and writing. Have a great break, and I will see you next year!

We had a fantastic morning making our gingerbread houses! Thank you for all your help. As I said, we would never be able to do this fun, messy project without your help (and donations!). It was great to see all of the kindergartners' smiling faces! They loved the sugar, but they also LOVE having you visit. Thank you for sharing your time with us.
When I asked the class how we could share what we have learned about weather, they decided to make a weather newspaper! I LOVE that they came up with this idea. Look at them, hard at work on their articles! Stay tuned for your copy of our weather newspaper. :)
Our weather research has led us to studying wind! We read about how wind is created, and then made our wind socks. We even got to try them out!
We love shapes! We worked on solving puzzles in different ways, using hexagons, rhombuses, trapezoids and triangles.
